Banana Avocado Smoothie with Granola

February 8, 2017 by MGal

Making healthy, satisfying smoothies in the office has never been easier!

I use a personal-sized Hamilton Beach blender that I got off amazon for $15. I buy all of the ingredients I need ahead of time and store them in the fridge at work and blend away the perfect smoothie every day. Lately I’ve been needing something crunchy with my smoothie so I’ve been making it extra thick and topping it with my favorite granola– Purely Elizabeth’s Ancient Grain Granola. It’s both gluten free and vegan and made of organic ingredients.

Here is the scoop on how to make a perfectly creamy smoothie:

Recipe:

1/2 ripe avocado

1 frozen banana (cut ripe banana into chunks and store in ziplock back in freezer overnight)

1 cup of Unsweetened Almond milk

2 tablespoons of Almond Butter

1 handful of organic baby spinach

1 tablespoon of chia seeds (optional)

1 scoop of your favorite protein (I use growing naturals vanilla pea protein)

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve with your favorite Granola or toppings.

Enjoy!
