Ingredients
1 broccoli crown
3 eggs
¼ cup of flour
1½ cups of cheddar cheese (loosely packed)
Pinch of sea salt and black pepper
2 tablespoons of avocado oil (or another good frying oil)
Instructions
Start by rinsing the broccoli and patting it dry then cut into bite size pieces. Set aside
Heat a pan on medium to high heat with avocado oil
Start making your batter by beating the eggs with a whisk or fork in a medium sized bowl then beat in flour until evenly mixed. Add in cheese, salt and pepper and mix well.
Dip your broccoli pieces one by one, head side down and grab as much batter onto the crown as you can. It's fine if it doesn't perfectly stick. Quickly transfer one by one the battered broccoli to the hot pan to fry and turn to brown evenly on each side. Transfer to a plate with a paper towel to absorb any excess liquid.
Serve with ranch dipping or another creamy sauce
